As our Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for the entire pastry department, ensuring that every guest experience ends on a sweet note. Tanggung Jawab

  • Design and execute a high-quality pastry and dessert menu that aligns with the resort's eco-luxury brand.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen, including baking bread, preparing cakes, and plating fine-dining desserts.
  • Source and manage inventory of premium ingredients, focusing on local and sustainable suppliers.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP) throughout the preparation and storage process.
  • Supervise and mentor junior pastry staff to ensure consistency and professional development.
  • Monitor food costs and minimize waste through efficient portion control and creative ingredient use.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create specialized menus for events, weddings, and private dining experiences.
  • Stay updated on global pastry trends and innovative techniques to keep our offerings competitive.

Kualifikasi

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Head Pastry Cook, preferably in a 4 or 5-star hotel/resort environment.
  • Strong portfolio of artistic pastry creations, including chocolate work, sugar craft, and artisanal baking.
  • In-depth knowledge of food sanitation, safety regulations, and kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse culinary team.
  • Creative mindset with a strong attention to detail and a passion for aesthetic presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
  • Certification in Culinary Arts or a related pastry specialization is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in English is essential for communication with international guests and management.
