We are seeking a dedicated and strategic professional to join our team as a Senior Executive / Senior Assistant Manager, Data Protection Office. In this pivotal role, you will lead our organization's data privacy and compliance framework, ensuring we adhere to all local regulatory standards and international best practices. You will act as the primary guardian of our data assets, guiding the company through complex data governance challenges while fostering a culture of privacy and security.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in compliance and a keen eye for detail. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape our privacy landscape in Kent Ridge, Central Region. You will not only oversee regulatory requirements but also elevate internal awareness through expert facilitation and creative communication strategies.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive data protection policies and procedures in strict alignment with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and relevant data privacy regulations.
- Conduct thorough Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy risk evaluations for all new projects, systems, and data processing activities.
- Manage and respond to data subject access requests and privacy complaints, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions in compliance with legal timelines.
- Oversee the organization's data mapping and inventory processes, maintaining an up-to-date record of personal data flows and storage locations.
- Design and facilitate engaging training sessions and workshops on data protection principles, utilizing graphic design skills to create impactful visual aids and documentation.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, and data protection authorities during inspections and inquiries.
- Lead incident response planning for data breaches, ensuring rapid containment, investigation, and mandatory regulatory notifications.
Kualifikasi
- Relevant degree in Law, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Data Protection Officer (CDPO) or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data protection, compliance, or a similar regulatory role, with a strong preference for candidates from the healthcare or IT sectors.
- Strong understanding of data privacy principles, including privacy by design, data minimization, and purpose limitation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an advantage for creating effective training materials.
