Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages.
- Verify patient identity, label specimens correctly, and ensure proper handling and transportation to the laboratory.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during blood collection.
- Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow and accurate test results.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment, and report any shortages or malfunctions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a phlebotomy training program is required.
- Certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., from ASHI, NHA, or recognized Indonesian body) preferred.
- Proven experience as a phlebotomist or in a clinical laboratory setting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques, blood collection equipment, and safety procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to put patients at ease.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in labeling and documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
