Blackmagic Design is a global leader in the creative video technology industry, known for manufacturing the world's most advanced cinema cameras, video editors, and color correctors. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Plastic Mould Designer to join our expanding engineering team in Batam. In this role, you will play a critical part in the lifecycle of our hardware products, translating conceptual designs into high-precision, manufacturable plastic components.
You will work alongside a collaborative team of mechanical and industrial engineers, utilizing state-of-the-art CAD software to push the boundaries of design for manufacturing (DFM). We are looking for an innovative thinker who is passionate about precision engineering and keen to grow their career within an international, fast-paced technology environment.
Tanggung Jawab
- Design complex plastic injection moulds, ensuring high efficiency and optimal cycle times.
- Develop detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings for plastic components using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, or Creo).
- Perform mould flow analysis to predict potential defects and optimize cooling and venting systems.
- Collaborate closely with tool makers and production teams to troubleshoot mould assembly issues during the pilot and mass production phases.
- Maintain and manage comprehensive documentation for mould designs, engineering changes, and technical specifications.
- Conduct regular design reviews to ensure alignment with quality standards and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in plastic material technology and injection moulding equipment.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in plastic mould design and injection moulding.
- Proficiency in professional CAD software (SolidWorks is preferred).
- Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Experience with hot runner systems, sliding cores, and multi-cavity mould configurations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight project deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, multicultural team.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian is highly desirable.
