The Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Platform Engineering Manager to join our team in Ipoh, Perak. In this key leadership position, you will own the platform strategy, lead a talented team of engineers, and drive the evolution of our internal developer platform (IDP) and cloud infrastructure. You will champion DevOps culture, automation, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices to ensure our platforms are scalable, reliable, and secure.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will collaborate closely with software, data, and IT teams to accelerate product delivery and enhance developer experience. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and innovation velocity of the entire engineering organization.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of Platform and DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
- Define and execute the technical strategy for the internal developer platform, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation across all platform operations.
- Manage multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) and on-premise environments, ensuring cost optimization, performance, and security.
- Establish and enforce SRE practices including service level indicators (SLIs), SLOs, error budgets, and incident management.
- Partner with engineering stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver self-service platform capabilities.
- Oversee platform compliance and governance, ensuring alignment with SOC2, ISO 27001, and internal security policies.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Deep expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Strong proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at scale using tools like ArgoCD, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems administration, networking concepts, and database management (SQL, NoSQL).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across teams.
- Experience in a global manufacturing, semiconductor, or high-tech hardware environment is a strong advantage.
