Are you an experienced leader in the manufacturing sector looking for a challenging opportunity? Samtec Asia Pacific is currently seeking a highly motivated Plating Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Johor Bahru. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the seamless execution of daily plating operations, ensuring that production targets are met with uncompromising quality standards.
As a Supervisor, you will act as the guardian of our operational excellence. Your day-to-day duties will involve overseeing the entire plating process, from material preparation to the final inspection. You will manage shift schedules, ensuring that the team is well-coordinated and productive. We pride ourselves on safety and environmental compliance; therefore, you will play a crucial role in enforcing strict safety protocols and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations regarding chemical handling.
We are looking for a candidate who is not just an operator, but a leader. You will be expected to mentor junior staff, conduct performance reviews, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee and manage all daily production activities within the plating department, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and environmental policies regarding chemical waste and handling.
- Monitor production output to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of production operators, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Conduct routine inspections of plating equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and schedule necessary maintenance.
- Manage inventory levels of plating chemicals, anodes, and other raw materials to prevent production delays.
- Investigate and resolve production issues or quality deviations immediately to minimize downtime.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electroplating, anodizing, or metal finishing production environments.
- Strong working knowledge of plating processes, chemical compositions, and quality control techniques.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and basic computer literacy is highly desirable.
- Valid employment pass or citizenship status for Malaysia.
