The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is seeking a visionary and highly strategic Portfolio Manager, Life Sciences to take the helm of our cutting-edge RNA therapeutic asset portfolio.

As the Portfolio Manager, you will serve as the central nexus between groundbreaking research and commercial execution. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the strategic management of the RNA therapeutics pipeline, prioritizing assets and optimizing the balance of risk, reward, and resource allocation.
- Drive cross-functional asset development teams, ensuring robust execution of project plans, timelines, and budgets to achieve key milestones.
- Conduct rigorous competitive intelligence, scientific landscaping, and commercial due diligence to inform portfolio strategy.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with academic labs, CROs, CDMOs, and global pharma partners.
- Prepare and present detailed portfolio reviews, investment memoranda, and strategic recommendations to the Executive Committee and Board.
- Implement and maintain a robust governance framework, managing risks and ensuring compliance across the portfolio.
- Mentor and provide strategic guidance to junior portfolio managers and project leaders, fostering a high-performance culture of scientific excellence.
Kualifikasi
- Ph.D. or MD in Life Sciences (e.g., Molecular Biology, Genetics, Pharmacology, Biochemistry).
- Minimum 10 years of combined experience in biotechnology R&D, life sciences consulting, or biotech investment, with at least 5 years directly managing drug development portfolios.
- Deep domain expertise in RNA therapeutics (mRNA, siRNA, ASOs, gene editing) is mandatory.
- Proven track record of successfully advancing therapeutic candidates from preclinical stages into clinical trials.
- Strong business acumen with experience in financial modeling, term sheet analysis, and licensing negotiations.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to navigate a matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with global regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, HSA) and quality standards (GxP, ICH).
- Strategic thinker with a strong data-driven approach to risk management and decision-making.
