Position: Postdoctoral Fellow (Mid-Infrared and Terahertz Photonics)

The School of EEE invites applications for a motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our dynamic research team in the field of Mid-Infrared (Mid-IR) and Terahertz (THz) Photonics. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research on novel photonic devices and systems.
We are seeking a talented researcher with strong expertise in the design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization of photonic devices operating in the Mid-IR and THz regimes. You will work on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of light-matter interaction, sensing, and communications. The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art cleanrooms and characterization facilities.

Tanggung Jawab
- Design and optimize novel Mid-IR and THz photonic devices using electromagnetic simulation tools.
- Fabricate devices using advanced cleanroom techniques (lithography, etching, deposition).
- Conduct experimental characterization using FTIR, ellipsometry, terahertz time-domain spectroscopy, etc.
- Analyze and interpret data, prepare reports and manuscripts for publication.
- Collaborate with team members and external collaborators on joint research projects.
- Supervise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
- Contribute to grant proposals and laboratory management.
Kualifikasi
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a closely related field.
- Strong background in electromagnetic theory and photonic device physics.
- Hands-on experience with cleanroom fabrication of photonic devices.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as COMSOL, Lumerical, or similar.
- Experience with optical characterization techniques (e.g., FTIR, TDS, ellipsometry).
- Excellent track record of publications in reputable journals.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
