Western Digital is seeking a Principal Industrial Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Biñan, Laguna. In this strategic role, you will drive efficient production operations through data‑driven capacity planning, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives that support our world‑class manufacturing environment.
You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—including production, quality, supply chain, and R&D—to identify bottlenecks, design scalable solutions, and implement lean methodologies that enhance throughput, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of our manufacturing processes and mentor a team of junior engineers.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead capacity planning and demand forecasting to align production capabilities with business objectives.
- Design, model, and optimize manufacturing workflows using lean and Six Sigma tools.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance product quality.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement process changes and new technologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Mentor and develop junior industrial engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor operational performance.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), and process simulation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
- Experience with ERP/MES systems and project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Knowledge of local safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.
