SingHealth Group, Singapore's largest public healthcare group, is committed to providing high-quality patient care and advancing medical research. As part of our expansion efforts, we are setting up a new hospital in the East Region, and we are looking for a Principal/Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the EGH Planning Office. This is a unique opportunity to shape the infrastructure of a healthcare facility from the ground up.
In this senior role, you will lead the mechanical engineering aspects of the hospital's design and construction, ensuring that systems are reliable, energy-efficient, and compliant with regulatory standards. You will work closely with the project team to develop innovative solutions for heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, medical gases, fire protection, and building management systems. Your contributions will directly impact the comfort, safety, and operational efficiency of the hospital.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of mechanical systems for hospital and healthcare projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and medical gas systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical solutions with architectural, structural, and electrical designs.
- Conduct feasibility studies, load calculations, and system simulations to optimize performance and energy efficiency.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents in compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely delivery within scope.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and coordinate with contractors and suppliers.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises to enhance project outcomes.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainability practices in healthcare engineering.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) in Singapore.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in hospital or healthcare facility projects.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore building codes, fire safety regulations, and healthcare facility standards.
- Proven experience in leading design teams and managing large-scale projects from concept to completion.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in BIM software and engineering analysis tools.
- Commitment to continuous learning and innovation in sustainable healthcare design.
