Copeland, a global leader in climate and industrial automation solutions, is seeking a visionary Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic R&D team at our state-of-the-art facility in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
In this critical leadership role, you will chart the technical direction for complex software systems that underpin our next-generation automation platforms. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the architectural design and development of scalable, high-availability software systems for industrial automation.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to a team of skilled software engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product management, systems engineering, and global R&D teams to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in CI/CD, DevOps, testing, and code quality across the organization.
- Conduct in-depth code and design reviews to ensure alignment with architectural standards and performance benchmarks.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to strategically influence the long-term technology roadmap.
- Own the technical resolution of complex performance and reliability issues in production environments.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role (Staff, Principal, or Architect).
- Deep expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Proven track record of delivering complex software products from conception to launch.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with embedded systems, real-time operating systems, or industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to build and mentor high-performing engineering teams.
