We are seeking an exceptional Principal Software Engineer, Backend to join our Singapore office. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you will be a key architect of our next-generation AI tools, working with a high-caliber team to build systems that dramatically enhance the efficiency and capabilities of engineers worldwide.
In this high-impact role, you will own the technical vision for critical backend components of our AI platform. You will deeply collaborate with product managers, machine learning engineers, and frontend teams to design, build, and scale robust, low-latency distributed systems. Tanggung Jawab
- Design, architect, and implement scalable backend services and APIs for our AI-powered platform.
- Lead the technical direction for backend systems, making critical decisions on architecture, technology stack, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with Machine Learning engineers to deploy, monitor, and optimize production AI models.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews, establish best practices, and mentor senior and mid-level engineers.
- Drive performance optimization, reliability, and security across all backend services.
- Define and implement data pipelines for large-scale processing and model training.
- Champion a culture of operational excellence, including comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Partner with product and design teams to translate complex requirements into elegant technical solutions.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3–5 years in a staff+, principal, or architect role.
- Expert proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
- Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Proven track record of designing and building large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
- Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and messaging systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
- Experience with machine learning pipelines or AI tooling is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive cross-team initiatives.
