Our Ipoh facility is a center of excellence for the manufacturing of optical transceivers and subsystems. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Process Platform Engineer 800G to join our engineering team.
In this critical role, you will be tasked with developing, sustaining, and optimizing the complex process platforms that enable the production of our next-generation 800G optical products. From precision photonic alignment to advanced electronic assembly, you will drive the maturity of manufacturing platforms to achieve world-class yield, quality, and throughput. Reporting to the Platform Engineering Manager, you will lead process characterization and validation using rigorous Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC). You will act as a technical bridge between our R&D teams and high-volume manufacturing, ensuring flawless New Product Introductions (NPI) and technology transfers. - Develop, sustain, and optimize process platforms (e.g., thin-film, photonic alignment, precision assembly) for 800G optical transceiver components.
- Drive continuous yield improvement and cost reduction initiatives through systematic data analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Establish and maintain robust Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems to monitor and enhance process capability (Cpk/Ppk).
- Lead root cause investigations for process deviations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with global R&D and Product Engineering teams to ensure seamless New Product Introduction (NPI) and technology transfer into high-volume manufacturing.
- Design, document, and train production technicians on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Evaluate and qualify new materials, equipment, and tooling to support platform scalability and performance goals.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and drive a culture of safety, quality, and cleanroom excellence.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3â5 years of experience in process engineering within a semiconductor, optoelectronics, or high-precision electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in process characterization, DOE, and SPC methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with cleanroom processes (e.g., photolithography, thin-film deposition, die attach, wire bonding, or automated optical inspection) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or Python is required.
- Demonstrated experience in platform engineering, yield enhancement, or process integration.
- Familiarity with optical transceiver technology and the 400G/800G ecosystem is a significant advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
