Empower Australian Retail Excellence from the Heart of Pampanga.
Staff Domain Inc is seeking a highly motivated and independent Product Compliance and Quality Assurance Officer to drive compliance and quality standards for our esteemed Australian retail client. This is a fully remote, work-from-home opportunity designed for a seasoned professional who thrives on autonomy and ownership.
In this standalone role, you will be the critical linchpin between our client's buying team and their global supplier network. Your expertise will directly shape buying decisions, protect the brand, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
If you have a sharp eye for detail, a deep understanding of product compliance, and the drive to manage a function independently, this is your chance to make a significant impact in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the sole subject matter expert for all product compliance and quality assurance activities within the retail buying function.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence, risk assessments, and supplier audits to ensure compliance with AU consumer law and product safety standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust QA documentation, inspection protocols, and compliance trackers.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve non-conformances, driving corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs) to completion.
- Provide clear, actionable compliance guidance to the buying team, enabling informed and swift decision-making.
- Monitor and interpret evolving Australian and international regulations, proactively updating internal processes to remain ahead of the curve.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, communicating expectations and driving quality improvements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Quality Management, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of solid experience in Product Compliance, Quality Assurance, or Regulatory Affairs.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian retail standards, product safety regulations, and ethical sourcing requirements is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in conducting supplier audits, factory inspections, and managing non-conformance reports.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively in a standalone, remote capacity.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and document management systems.
