Changhuat Plastic Industries (Senai) is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Product Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johor. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between conceptual design and high-volume manufacturing, ensuring that our plastic components meet the rigorous standards of our global clientele.
In this position, you will act as a technical lead, overseeing the lifecycle of new products from initial prototyping through to final mass production. You will be instrumental in identifying growth opportunities and driving business development through technical excellence and project efficiency. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in plastic injection molding and engineering principles to optimize production workflows, reduce waste, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Tooling, Production, and Quality Assurance to maintain our competitive edge in the market.
Tanggung Jawab
- Manage the end-to-end product development process, ensuring all technical specifications and quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with the tooling department to review mold designs and provide technical feedback for manufacturability (DFM).
- Conduct technical feasibility studies for new business inquiries and provide accurate cost estimations.
- Lead product trial runs, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize injection molding parameters for mass production.
- Coordinate with clients to clarify technical requirements and provide regular updates on project milestones.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce cycle times.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs, process flow charts, and engineering change notices (ECN).
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the plastic injection molding industry.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Unigraphics.
- Deep understanding of plastic resins, mold construction, and secondary assembly processes.
- Proven track record in project management and driving technical business development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
