Adient, a global leader in automotive seating, is seeking a passionate and driven Product Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Tanjung Malim, Perak. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality automotive components from concept through to successful mass production.
As a Product Engineer, you will work within a highly collaborative and advanced engineering environment. You will be responsible for translating customer requirements into innovative, cost-effective, and manufacturing-ready product designs. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the product design and development of automotive seating systems and components in alignment with client specifications.
- Generate and refine 3D CAD models and detailed 2D engineering drawings using CATIA V5 or NX.
- Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Perform Tolerance Stack-up analysis and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to engineering drawings.
- Coordinate and execute DFMEA, PFMEA, and product validation testing plans to ensure compliance with international automotive safety standards.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, Tooling, and Procurement to resolve design and production challenges.
- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and coordinate technical presentations with OEM customers.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in product design within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools, specifically CATIA V5 or Unigraphics NX.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, sheet metal stamping, and foam/trim technologies.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards and quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, GD&T).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with international teams and clients.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
