We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Product Engineer - Module Test to join our dynamic team in Ipoh, Perak. In this critical role, you will serve as the technical backbone of our module test operations, ensuring that our transmission products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Manufacturing, and Quality to drive continuous improvement, resolve complex technical issues, and support the seamless launch of new products (NPI).
Your day-to-day will involve developing robust test strategies, deeply analyzing data to boost yields, and troubleshooting challenging manufacturing defects. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and optimize test strategies and procedures for optical transmission modules to ensure compliance with product specifications and industry standards.
- Characterize and validate product performance metrics, including optical power, bit error rate (BER), signal integrity, and other key parameters.
- Analyze test data to identify trends, drive yield improvement initiatives, and conduct root cause analysis on field and manufacturing failures.
- Collaborate closely with design engineering teams to provide feedback on product design for testability (DFT) and manufacturability (DFM).
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by creating test plans, preparing test stations, and training manufacturing technicians.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and equipment to improve test efficiency, throughput, and coverage.
- Generate detailed technical documentation, including test reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, cost reduction, and cycle time optimization within the Transmission BU.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Optical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in product engineering, test engineering, or manufacturing engineering within a high-tech manufacturing environment (optical, semiconductor, or electronics industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of optical communication systems, transmission technologies, and related test methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab, Python, MATLAB) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE), data acquisition systems, and programming languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, C#).
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a diverse team environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or Malay is an added advantage.
