Coherent, a global leader in engineered materials and photonics solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Production Executive to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Perai, Penang. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in our operations, ensuring that production goals are met with the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.
As a Production Executive, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the production floor, focusing on optimizing shift production plans, fostering employee development, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will coordinate closely with various departments including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics to ensure seamless workflow and on-time delivery to our global customer base.
Key responsibilities include managing a team of shift supervisors and operators, developing and executing production schedules to meet monthly targets, and driving key performance indicators such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, throughput, and manufacturing cycle time. The ideal candidate will champion a safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will be empowered to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.

Tanggung Jawab
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily shift production plans to ensure timely achievement of output, quality, and cost targets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop production teams, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities with Quality, Maintenance, and Logistics to optimize workflow and minimize downtime.
- Analyze production data and KPIs (OEE, yield, throughput) to identify areas for process improvement and corrective actions.
- Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence.
- Ensure strict adherence to GMP, EHS regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) on the production floor.
- Prepare comprehensive production reports and present performance updates to senior management.
- Manage inventory accuracy and raw material availability to support uninterrupted production schedules.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical) or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment, preferably in semiconductor, optics, or electronics industries.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, resource allocation, and shift management.
- Proven track record of leading teams and driving employee engagement and development.
- Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
