Production Planner (1 Year Contract)

We are representing a leading global semiconductor manufacturer in search of a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join their dynamic supply chain team in the North Region of Singapore on a 1-year contract basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring production efficiency, driving material availability, and supporting overall operational excellence in a fast-paced high-tech manufacturing environment. As a Production Planner, you will be the crucial link between manufacturing operations, procurement, and logistics, ensuring that production schedules are optimized to meet customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

You will work extensively with SAP to manage Bill of Materials (BOM), run Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks and ensure seamless workflow. Your ability to analyze data, forecast needs, and communicate effectively will be critical to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage detailed production schedules for wafer fabrication, assembly, and test operations.
• Analyse and validate Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and ensure accuracy in the SAP system.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve material shortages and production bottlenecks.
• Monitor Work In Progress (WIP) levels and coordinate lot movements to ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
• Utilize SAP and APO for material requirements planning (MRP), capacity planning, and simulation.
• Generate and present production performance reports, cycle time analysis, and capacity utilization metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and optimize inventory.
• Participate in regular production review meetings with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Production Planning, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment. Semiconductor experience is highly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP PP (Production Planning) and MM (Materials Management). Experience with APO is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for data analysis and reporting.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
