SONT PHOTONICS Sdn Bhd is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Production Supervisor/Manager to join our state-of-the-art facility in Batu Kawan, Penang. In this pivotal role, you will be the heartbeat of our production floor, driving performance, maintaining rigorous quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee daily operations, optimize production workflows, and ensure that our photonics manufacturing processes meet global excellence benchmarks. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and oversee daily production operations to ensure targets are met within budget and on schedule.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate production staff to maintain high levels of productivity and workplace morale.
- Monitor production output and quality metrics, implementing corrective actions when performance drifts from standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety regulations (OSH) and company-wide standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Optimize floor workflow and resource allocation to minimize downtime and reduce material wastage.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and spearhead process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to ensure seamless material flow and technical support.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing), Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory or management role, preferably within the electronics or photonics industry.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and Kaizen methodology.
- Proficiency in production planning software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot operational issues under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
- Deep commitment to workplace safety and quality control systems (ISO standards).
