Deskripsi Pekerjaan

Are you passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals with special needs? Do you have the patience, creativity, and dedication to empower students with intellectual disabilities? APSN Education Services, a leading Social Service Agency in Singapore with a rich history of serving the special needs community, is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Programme Associate / Officer to join our dedicated Student Care Centre team in Ang Mo Kio.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play an integral role in supporting the holistic development of students with mild intellectual disabilities (IQ 50-70) and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Your primary focus will be to facilitate a safe, structured, and exceptionally nurturing environment. Here, students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically during their before- and after-school care hours. You will be the guiding hand that helps bridge their learning from school to home.

This role is more than just a job; it is a calling. You will design and implement engaging, age-appropriate programmes tailored to the unique learning styles and needs of our students. This includes planning recreational activities, coaching daily living skills, managing behaviour, and providing academic support. Crucially, you will collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families to create a consistent and supportive ecosystem around each student, ensuring every individual feels valued and understood.

Why Join APSN?

  • Be part of a well-established and respected organisation in Singapore's social service landscape.
  • Work in a supportive, collaborative, and values-driven culture.
  • Access continuous professional development, training, and career progression opportunities within the special needs education sector.
  • Experience the immense job satisfaction that comes from witnessing your students achieve milestones and grow in confidence.

If you possess the heart, resilience, and interpersonal skills to make a lasting impact, we strongly encourage you to apply and contribute to our mission of "Enabling Lives, Realising Potential".

  • Implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioural Support Plans (BSPs) in collaboration with the teaching and therapy teams.
  • Facilitate social skills training, life skills coaching, and recreational activities to promote independence and community living.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, incidents, and daily observations to inform care strategies.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students' families, providing regular updates and guidance to extend learning into the home environment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by adhering to APSN's safeguarding policies and safety protocols.
  • Support centre operations, including administrative tasks, resource management, and event organisation as required.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and professionals.
  • Patience, empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for serving the special needs community.
