Becton Dickinson (BD), a global leader in medical technology, is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer - Molding to join our state-of-the-art facility in Tuas, Singapore. In this pivotal 2-year contract role, you will play a critical part in overseeing complex molding projects, ensuring operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing environment.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the lifecycle of molding processes, from equipment qualification to process optimization. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to showcase technical expertise in a world-class manufacturing setting and contribute directly to the production of life-saving medical devices.
Tanggung Jawab
- Manage and execute end-to-end molding projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Lead equipment qualification processes, including IQ/OQ/PQ for new and existing molding machinery.
- Optimize molding process parameters to improve cycle times, minimize scrap rates, and enhance product quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless production operations.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in compliance with ISO 13485 and GMP regulations.
- Support technology transfer activities and participate in process validation efforts.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Polymer Engineering (or related field).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in plastic injection molding processes, preferably within the medical device or high-precision manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in molding simulation software and process troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 13485 quality standards.
- Proven ability to manage technical projects and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
