About the Role
Terasmaju, a prominent player in Malaysia's electrical infrastructure and energy sector, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer (Overhead Line) to join our dynamic team in Petaling Jaya. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all phases of Overhead Line (OHL) and substation projects from initiation to close-out.
- Ensure strict adherence to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) technical specifications, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate seamless project operations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to enforce quality standards, safety compliance, and risk management.
- Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports, technical documentation, and financial forecasts.
- Lead project meetings and foster a collaborative environment to resolve technical and operational challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in managing OHL and substation projects within the Malaysian power utility sector.
- In-depth knowledge of TNB standards, Grid Code requirements, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Strong technical aptitude with proficiency in relevant engineering software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and working towards Professional Engineer status is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Malaysia.
