We are seeking a skilled Pulmonary Function Technologist to join our Respiratory Medicine team on a 6-month contract to cover maternity leave. In this role, you will perform a comprehensive range of pulmonary function tests, including spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, and bronchial provocation, supporting the diagnosis and management of conditions such as asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung disease. Working closely with respiratory physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, you will ensure accurate test results, maintain equipment, and educate patients on procedures. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests (spirometry, lung volumes, diffusion capacity, bronchial provocation).
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain test protocols, and ensure optimal cooperation.
- Calibrate and maintain pulmonary function equipment; conduct quality control checks.
- Analyze and document test results, reporting findings to referring physicians.
- Assist in patient education regarding respiratory conditions and diagnostic procedures.
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists, nurses, and physicians in patient care planning.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and test documentation.
- Adhere to infection control, equipment hygiene, and safety standards.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, Nursing, or a related health science field.
- Certification as a Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or equivalent (e.g., RRT, CRT) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pulmonary function testing within a clinical setting.
- Sound understanding of respiratory physiology and diagnostic test principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team interaction.
- Proficiency with pulmonary function testing software and electronic medical records.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
