Trust Recruit is partnering with a premier ship chandler and marine technical supplies company to find an experienced Purchaser for their operational hub in Pioneer. This role is critical to ensuring smooth vessel operations through timely procurement of essential supplies, equipment, and provisions.
As the Purchaser, you will manage the end-to-end procurement cycle from sourcing and vendor evaluation to purchase order management and goods receipt. You will negotiate competitive prices, maintain optimal inventory levels, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to anticipate demand. Your expertise will directly impact cost savings and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include identifying reliable suppliers, processing purchase orders in a timely manner, resolving supply issues, and maintaining accurate records. You will also monitor market trends and recommend strategic sourcing initiatives.
We are looking for a candidate with a diploma or degree in Supply Chain or Business, at least 2 years of procurement experience ideally in ship chandling or marine, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Sourcing and procuring marine supplies, provisions, and technical equipment from local and international suppliers.
- Negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure optimal cost and quality.
- Managing purchase orders and ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with warehouse and operations teams.
- Evaluating supplier performance and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing efficient procurement strategies.
- Ensuring all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Preparing regular reports on procurement activities and market trends.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of procurement experience, preferably in ship chandling, marine, or technical supply.
- Strong knowledge of marine products, ship stores, and technical equipment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
