Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for supply chain excellence? Armstrong Auto Parts Sdn Bhd, a leading name in the automotive manufacturing industry, is looking for a proactive Purchasing (Direct Material) Executive to join our dynamic team in Mak Mandin, Penang. In this pivotal role, you will be the backbone of our production supply chain, ensuring that high-quality direct materials are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and delivered on time to keep our assembly lines moving.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, managing complex supplier relationships and utilizing SAP systems to maintain inventory integrity. We are seeking an individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possesses a sharp eye for process optimization and vendor management.
Tanggung Jawab
- Execute and manage the end-to-end procurement process for direct materials, ensuring alignment with production schedules.
- Issue and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) via the SAP system with high accuracy.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers to track shipment status, resolve supply chain bottlenecks, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain and update supplier performance data to ensure compliance with quality and cost standards.
- Support the inventory team by monitoring stock levels and performing timely procurement replenishment.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Ensure all procurement documentation is audit-ready and compliant with company purchasing policies.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in direct material purchasing, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
- Proficiency in SAP (MM Module) or similar ERP systems is mandatory.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to maintain excellent long-term relationships with vendors.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and manage inventory metrics effectively.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Able to work independently under pressure and meet strict manufacturing deadlines.
