Tanggung Jawab
- Source, evaluate, and procure a wide range of construction materials, equipment, and services from local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate favorable terms, prices, and delivery schedules with vendors to achieve cost savings and maintain high quality standards.
- Coordinate closely with site personnel, project managers, and internal stakeholders to understand material requirements and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Conduct thorough market research and price comparisons to identify new suppliers, assess their capabilities, and ensure competitive pricing.
- Manage and nurture strong supplier relationships, evaluate their performance, and proactively resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or contractual terms.
- Prepare and accurately process purchase orders, requisitions, and other procurement-related documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor inventory levels of key construction materials and forecast future needs to prevent stockouts, minimize holding costs, and support project continuity.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations and ethical standards.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Purchasing Executive or similar procurement role, specifically within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and related procurement processes in Malaysia.
- Demonstrable experience in material sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and supply chain optimization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a demanding, deadline-driven, project-based environment.
