North West Enterprise is currently seeking a dedicated Purchasing Manager or Assistant Manager to oversee our critical purchasing functions. In this influential role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the purchasing process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services necessary for the firm’s daily operations. You will act as the primary point of contact for key vendors, negotiating contracts to secure the best possible prices and terms. Beyond negotiation, you will develop strategic sourcing plans, monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in the Manufacturing or Transport & Logistics sectors, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and the ability to lead a team effectively. - Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to maximize cost savings and value.
- Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast material requirements to prevent stockouts.
- Conduct market research to identify new vendors and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their specific needs and ensure alignment.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any supply chain issues promptly.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or Assistant Manager in Manufacturing or Transport & Logistics.
- Strong knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make sound business decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred.
