Southern Cable, a leader in the cable and wire industry, is looking for a dedicated QC Technician to join our production facility in Kuala Ketil, Kedah. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in our supply chain, ensuring that every product leaving our factory meets our rigorous safety, performance, and quality standards.
In this role, you will work closely with the production team to monitor manufacturing processes, identify defects, and maintain documentation to ensure full compliance with internal and industry quality guidelines. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform routine inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished cable products.
- Operate various testing equipment to verify mechanical and electrical properties.
- Document quality test results accurately and maintain detailed inspection reports.
- Identify, record, and report non-conformance issues to the production supervisors.
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of testing tools and laboratory equipment.
- Participate in root cause analysis for product defects to improve overall production efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety (OSH) standards and quality management systems.
- Support the production team in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum SPM, STPM, or Certificate/Diploma in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing quality control role is highly advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and physical defects.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, multimeters).
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and/or English.
- Ability to work on shifts and maintain physical stamina for production floor work.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and safety.
