In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end preparation of accurate and competitive quotations for our diverse portfolio of high-precision optical components, lenses, and assemblies.
As a Quotations Engineer, you will act as the technical bridge between our customers and our engineering teams. You will ensure that every quotation reflects the highest standards of technical accuracy while maintaining cost-efficiency. Tanggung Jawab
- Review and interpret complex customer inquiries and technical drawings to determine specific optical requirements.
- Prepare accurate and timely quotations for optical components, ensuring all technical specifications, lead times, and pricing are correctly documented.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Sales teams to resolve technical discrepancies and ensure product availability.
- Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to ensure our quotations remain competitive while maintaining profitability.
- Manage and maintain the quotation database, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during the proposal stage to address customer questions and negotiate terms.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell optical products based on customer project requirements.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Physics, Applied Physics, or a related Engineering field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical quotation, sales support, or product management role within the optical, photonics, or precision engineering industry.
- Strong understanding of optical components, such as lenses, filters, and mirrors, and their manufacturing processes.
- Excellent mathematical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex calculations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) and CRM tools.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
