Are you a creative culinary professional with a passion for patisserie? Secret Recipe Cakes and Café, Malaysia’s leading lifestyle café chain, is looking for an innovative R&D Executive (Cakes and Pastry) to join our dynamic product development team in Petaling Jaya.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of our menu evolution. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, testing, and perfecting new cake recipes and pastry lines that define the Secret Recipe experience. From seasonal menu launches to bespoke B2B collaborations, your culinary vision will reach millions of customers. We are looking for an individual who balances artistic flair with technical food science, ensuring that every product meets our high standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.

Tanggung Jawab

  • Develop and execute innovative cake and pastry recipes from concept to final product launch.
  • Conduct product trials and sensory evaluations to ensure recipes meet brand quality and taste standards.
  • Coordinate with production and supply chain teams to ensure new recipes are scalable and cost-effective.
  • Research emerging culinary trends and ingredient innovations to keep our menu competitive and exciting.
  • Manage documentation for recipe cards, production manuals, and cost-analysis reports.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on B2B projects and special corporate collaborations.
  • Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout the R&D process.
  • Support the team in managing equipment optimization and new technique implementation.

Kualifikasi

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry & Baking, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in R&D or professional pastry production within the F&B industry.
  • Deep understanding of baking science, ingredient functionality, and pastry techniques.
  • Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail for cake decoration and final product presentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and recipe documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple product development timelines simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to translate market trends into commercially viable products.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
