Dwida Jaya Tama is seeking a visionary and detail-oriented R&D Manager to lead our Furniture & Interior division in Bogor. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving design innovation, ensuring engineering excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of production quality. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about furniture design, possesses deep technical knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, and has a proven track record of leading design teams to success.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between creative design concepts and practical construction execution. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle—from initial prototyping to final inspection—ensuring that every piece of furniture meets our brand's commitment to quality, aesthetics, and structural integrity.
Tanggung Jawab
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the internal design and engineering team to deliver innovative furniture solutions.
- Perform comprehensive reviews of engineering drawings and 'For Construction' (FC) documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee the research and development phase of new product lines, focusing on cost-efficiency and material optimization.
- Collaborate with the production department to monitor manufacturing processes and troubleshoot technical challenges.
- Conduct rigorous quality audits on finished products to ensure they meet company specifications and industry standards.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring design milestones are met according to the master production schedule.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of furniture trends, sustainable materials, and modern manufacturing technologies.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in R&D or Product Development within the furniture or interior industry.
- Strong proficiency in design and engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or similar 3D modeling tools.
- Deep understanding of furniture construction methods, joinery, and material properties (wood, metal, upholstery, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional design and production teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia; professional proficiency in English is a plus.
