Tanggung Jawab
- Administer precise radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed treatment plans and protocols.
- Operate and maintain Linear Accelerators (LINACs) and other radiation therapy equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
- Perform daily quality assurance checks on equipment and treatment setups.
- Monitor patients during treatment for adverse reactions, providing immediate assistance and reporting to the oncology team.
- Accurately document treatment parameters, patient progress, and any deviations.
- Collaborate effectively with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients and their families, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Participate in the calibration and maintenance of equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Radiation Therapy, Diagnostic Radiography, or a related field.
- Valid practicing license from the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore, or eligibility for registration.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in operating various radiation therapy equipment and knowledge of different treatment modalities.
- Familiarity with diagnostic imaging techniques such as CT, MRI, X-ray, and Ultrasound, relevant to treatment planning and verification.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and patient protection protocols.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
