About the Role: SBS Transit is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Rail Depot Traffic Controller to join our dynamic operations team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trains within the depot environment. You will monitor operational activities, control train movements, and ensure the timely dispatch of trains to the passenger network.
You will work in a high-tech control room environment, utilizing advanced signalling systems to manage train movements. Your ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with drivers and maintenance crews is essential to maintaining seamless depot operations and ensuring the safety of all personnel and assets.
Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor and control train movements within the depot automatic area using computer-based signalling systems (CBTC).
- Coordinate the timely dispatch of trains to the passenger line and manage shunting operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, depot regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Communicate clear instructions to train drivers and maintenance crews via radio and communication systems.
- Monitor CCTV feeds, track sensors, and signalling equipment to identify and report any anomalies or hazards.
- Assist in emergency response procedures and document incident reports accurately.
- Collaborate with depot supervisors and engineering teams to resolve operational issues.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Transport Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of railway signalling systems and train operations is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with diverse teams.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends, nights, and public holidays as required.
- Possession of a valid Class 3 or Class 4 Driving License is an advantage.
