SBS Transit is seeking a dedicated Rail Power - Power Engineer to join our elite engineering team in Kranji. In this critical role, you will be the backbone of our MRT operations, ensuring the seamless functionality of our high-voltage power systems.
As a Power Engineer, you will be tasked with the maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of Power and Electrical Services Systems. You will play a vital role in upholding the highest safety and regulatory standards, ensuring that thousands of commuters experience safe, reliable, and efficient daily transit. Tanggung Jawab
- Oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of traction power and auxiliary power supply systems.
- Conduct regular system inspections to ensure compliance with Land Transport Authority (LTA) and internal safety regulations.
- Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshooting for electrical system faults to minimize service disruptions.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute system upgrades and engineering modifications.
- Manage maintenance documentation and generate detailed technical reports for management review.
- Participate in emergency response drills and rapid recovery operations for rail power systems.
- Supervise external contractors during scheduled maintenance windows to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Kualifikasi
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in high-voltage power systems, preferably within a rail or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution equipment, switchgears, and SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with Singapore rail safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work rotating shifts or perform standby duties as required by operational needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive safety-first mindset.
- Proficiency in technical report writing and data management software.
