Join Wilmar, a globally recognized leader in sustainable palm oil production, as we seek an accomplished Regional EHS Lead to drive safety excellence across our upstream operations in West Africa. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will spearhead the development and implementation of robust environmental, health, and safety frameworks to ensure compliance with international standards while fostering a proactive safety culture. This pivotal role requires strategic oversight of EHS programs, incident prevention initiatives, and regulatory compliance across diverse operational sites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into business operations, conduct rigorous risk assessments, and mentor regional EHS personnel. Ideal candidates will demonstrate expertise in agricultural or industrial EHS management with specific experience in emerging markets. - Develop and implement comprehensive EHS strategies for upstream operations in West Africa
- Lead regulatory compliance audits and ensure adherence to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards
- Manage incident investigation processes and corrective action implementation
- Oversee training programs for staff and contractors on safety protocols and emergency response
- Monitor EHS performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with regional stakeholders to integrate EHS considerations into operational planning
- Represent Wilmar in engagements with regulatory bodies and industry forums
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years of EHS management experience with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record in agricultural or upstream energy sector EHS compliance
- Professional certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) required
- Strong knowledge of West African regulatory environments and international standards
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French or Portuguese highly desirable
- Experience managing remote teams and cross-cultural operations
