Are you a creative visionary with a passion for industrial design and furniture innovation? Indovickers Furnitama, a leader in the furniture manufacturing industry, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Research and Development (R&D) Staff to join our dynamic design team in Cileungsi.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of our product lifecycle, transforming conceptual ideas into high-quality, functional furniture pieces. You will work closely with production, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure our designs not only meet aesthetic standards but are also ergonomic, cost-effective, and manufacturable. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our competitive edge by exploring new materials, improving current product durability, and conceptualizing the future of commercial and residential furniture.
Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct research on current furniture trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies to inform product development.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, prototypes, and scale models for new furniture designs.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize design-for-manufacturing (DFM) processes and reduce production waste.
- Test new prototypes for structural integrity, comfort, and ergonomic compliance.
- Document technical specifications, bill of materials (BOM), and assembly instructions for all new products.
- Analyze competitor products to identify opportunities for innovation and quality improvement.
- Manage the transition of new designs from the concept phase to mass production.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in furniture R&D or a related manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or Rhinoceros.
- Strong understanding of furniture joinery, wood/metal working, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering documents.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
