Key aspects of the role include designing and synthesizing advanced carbon materials (e.g., graphene, carbon nanotubes, carbon fibers), characterizing their properties, and integrating them into concrete formulations. You will conduct mechanical, microstructural, and durability testing, analyze data, and contribute to the writing of research papers and proposals. The successful candidate will be a proactive, creative thinker with a strong background in materials science, chemistry, or civil engineering.
Tanggung Jawab
- Design and synthesize novel carbon materials (e.g., graphene oxides, carbon nanotubes, bio-derived carbons) for concrete enhancement.
- Characterize materials using advanced techniques such as SEM, TEM, XRD, Raman spectroscopy, and TGA.
- Develop and optimize concrete mix designs incorporating carbon materials to achieve improved mechanical and durability properties.
- Conduct comprehensive testing including compressive strength, flexural strength, shrinkage, and chloride penetration.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare detailed technical reports and research manuscripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of chemists, engineers, and industry partners to translate research into practical applications.
- Present findings at international conferences and contribute to grant writing and project management.
- Maintain laboratory safety protocols, manage equipment, and mentor junior researchers or students.
Kualifikasi
- PhD in Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in the synthesis and functionalization of carbon materials (e.g., graphene, CNTs, carbon black).
- Solid understanding of concrete technology, cement chemistry, and hydration processes.
- Proficiency in materials characterization techniques and data analysis software.
- Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse, collaborative team.
- Experience with project management and laboratory supervision is a plus.
