Position Overview
We are excited to invite applications for the position of Research Engineer (Mechanical Engineering). The successful candidate will contribute to high-impact research projects focused on the design, analysis, and optimization of advanced mechanical systems. Key research thrusts include, but are not limited to, advanced manufacturing, robotics and automation, energy systems, and micro/nano engineering. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of research activities, from conceptual design and rigorous numerical simulation to precision prototype fabrication and comprehensive experimental validation. Tanggung Jawab
- Design and conduct experiments to investigate mechanical phenomena and validate theoretical models.
- Develop and implement computational models (FEA, CFD) for performance prediction and optimization of mechanical systems.
- Fabricate, assemble, and test prototypes of mechanical components and systems for research applications.
- Perform data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation using advanced instrumentation and software tools.
- Prepare technical reports, research papers, and presentations for internal reviews and top-tier publications.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students on research projects and experimental techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems into broader research initiatives.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- Strong foundation in core mechanical engineering disciplines including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, and materials science.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and FEA/CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, OpenFOAM, Abaqus).
- Hands-on experience with experimental setup, instrumentation (sensors, DAQ systems), and troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a meticulous approach to research.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++ for data analysis and automation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with a demonstrated ability to publish research findings.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, multicultural research team.
