Nanyang Technological University's Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) invites applications for a highly motivated and talented Research Fellow to join our dynamic team. As a Research Fellow, you will be responsible for driving key research projects, designing and executing experiments to probe the molecular mechanisms of viral pathogenesis. You will utilize advanced techniques such as cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), X-ray crystallography, and biochemical assays to understand complex macromolecular interactions. The successful candidate will work closely with a diverse team of biologists, chemists, and computational scientists, contributing to publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior lab members and assist with lab management tasks, further developing your leadership skills in a premier academic setting.

- Lead and conduct advanced research projects in structural biology and virus-host interactions.
- Design, execute, and analyze experiments using techniques such as cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), X-ray crystallography, and/or biophysical assays.
- Prepare high-quality manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Present research findings at group meetings, departmental seminars, and international conferences.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of scientists to achieve project milestones.
- Mentor and train graduate students and undergraduate research assistants in laboratory techniques and experimental design.
- Contribute to the preparation of grant proposals and progress reports.
- Maintain meticulous laboratory records and ensure compliance with safety and biosafety regulations.
Kualifikasi
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Virology, or a closely related field.
- Strong track record of research productivity demonstrated by first-author publications in reputable international journals.
- Proven experience in protein expression, purification, and characterization.
- Expertise in structural biology techniques (cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, or NMR) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in standard biochemical and molecular biology methods (e.g., cloning, cell culture, Western blotting, SPR).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
