Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) is inviting applications for a highly motivated Research Fellow to join our prestigious engineering team. This role sits at the forefront of the global energy transition, focusing on the research and development of next-generation smart grids, microgrids, and distributed energy resources (DERs).
As a Research Fellow, you will lead cutting-edge investigations into the integration of renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, and advanced power electronics. You will collaborate with top-tier faculty and industry partners to develop resilient, efficient, and sustainable grid infrastructures. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead research initiatives focused on smart grid control, optimization, and microgrid architecture.
- Develop and implement simulation models for renewable energy integration using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, or ETAP.
- Design and test advanced control strategies for distributed energy resources (DERs) and battery storage systems.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to draft high-impact research papers, conference presentations, and technical reports.
- Assist in managing laboratory equipment and overseeing junior research staff or postgraduate students.
- Contribute to grant proposals and industry-sponsored project reports.
- Monitor current trends in power system protection, stability, and demand-side management to drive research innovation.
Kualifikasi
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a closely related field from a reputable university.
- Strong background in power electronics, grid stability, or distributed generation.
- Proven track record of publishing in high-impact international journals (e.g., IEEE Transactions).
- Proficiency in power system simulation software (MATLAB, Simulink, PSCAD/EMTDC).
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing or real-time simulation (e.g., OPAL-RT or RTDS) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and technical writing skills in English.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multicultural research environment.
