Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) is inviting applications for a motivated and talented Research Fellow to join our prestigious energy research team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research focused on onshore microgrid systems, addressing the global transition toward sustainable energy and grid resilience.
As a key member of our research department, you will play a pivotal role in the design, modeling, and optimization of microgrid architectures. You will work alongside world-class faculty and industry partners to develop innovative solutions for power system integration, energy storage management, and advanced control strategies. Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct high-quality research on onshore microgrid stability, optimization, and control strategies.
- Develop and validate mathematical models for renewable energy integration and distributed energy resources (DERs).
- Design and implement real-time simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing for microgrid components.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to draft research grant proposals and secure funding.
- Publish findings in high-impact international engineering journals and present at key global conferences.
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers and graduate students within the lab.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to project reporting for industry and academic stakeholders.
Kualifikasi
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a closely related discipline from a reputable university.
- Demonstrated experience in microgrid modeling, simulation, and power electronics control.
- Strong proficiency in simulation software such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD/EMTDC, or ETAP.
- Proven record of research publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed energy journals.
- Solid understanding of energy storage systems, grid-forming inverters, and power systems protection.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and independent problem-solving skills in complex research settings.
