Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a talented and motivated Research Fellow to join our pioneering research team focused on Power Electronics in Flow-based Energy Storage systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking work in sustainable energy technology at one of Asia's leading universities.
In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize advanced power electronic converters and control systems specifically tailored for flow battery and other flow-based energy storage technologies. You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and industry partners to advance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of next-generation energy storage solutions.

Tanggung Jawab
- Design and develop advanced power electronic converters and inverters for flow-based energy storage systems
- Implement and optimize control algorithms for battery management and power conditioning
- Conduct experimental testing, performance analysis, and validation of power electronics prototypes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to integrate power electronics with energy storage solutions
- Prepare technical reports, research papers, and presentations for academic and industry audiences
- Mentor junior researchers and graduate students on power electronics projects
- Contribute to grant proposals and research project planning
- Stay current with advances in power electronics, energy storage technologies, and related fields
Kualifikasi
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems, or related discipline
- Strong background in DC-DC converters, inverters, and power electronic circuit design
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, or ANSYS
- Experience with hardware implementation and testing of power electronic systems
- Knowledge of energy storage technologies, particularly flow batteries, is advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team
- Track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals is preferred
