Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct independent and collaborative research on AI-aided earthquake monitoring and advanced seismic data analysis.
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning and deep learning models for earthquake detection, characterization, and early warning systems.
- Analyze and interpret large-scale seismic datasets using advanced computational and statistical methods.
- Prepare and publish high-quality research findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Contribute to the preparation of grant proposals and secure external funding for innovative research projects.
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers, graduate students, and research assistants within the project.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams within NTU and external partners on related geoscience and AI initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance research infrastructure and software relevant to seismology and AI applications.
Kualifikasi
- A Ph.D. in Seismology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrable expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and data science applied to time-series data, preferably seismic.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python (with libraries like TensorFlow/PyTorch) and/or MATLAB.
- Strong publication record in leading academic journals and conferences relevant to seismology and/or AI.
- Experience with large-scale seismic data processing, analysis, and interpretation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex research findings and collaborating effectively.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and contribute effectively as part of a diverse research team.
- Prior experience in developing or deploying AI-based monitoring or prediction systems in a relevant scientific domain is highly advantageous.
