The National University of Singapore (NUS) is seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Fellow to join the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, focusing on Solar Photovoltaics (PV). This position offers a unique opportunity to conduct groundbreaking research in advanced solar energy technologies, including but not limited to high-efficiency silicon cells, perovskite solar cells, and integration of PV systems into smart grids. The successful candidate will work closely with a vibrant team of researchers and contribute to projects that aim to address key challenges in renewable energy generation and sustainability. Responsibilities include designing innovative experiments, developing theoretical models, characterizing devices, publishing in top-tier journals, and presenting findings at international conferences. The role also involves supervising junior researchers and assisting in lab management. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary commensurate with experience. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about solar energy and committed to making impactful contributions to the field. The initial appointment is for two years, renewable subject to performance and funding availability.

Tanggung Jawab
- Design, fabricate, and optimize solar photovoltaic devices using state-of-the-art methods.
- Conduct advanced optical and electrical characterization of solar cells and modules.
- Develop and validate simulation models for PV performance and degradation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on funded research projects and new proposals.
- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research activities.
- Prepare and publish research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
- Present results at national and international conferences and workshops.
- Assist in laboratory management including equipment maintenance and safety compliance.
Kualifikasi
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in photovoltaic technologies (silicon, perovskite, thin-film, or tandem cells).
- Hands-on experience with solar cell characterization tools (IV, EQE, impedance spectroscopy, etc.).
- Proficiency in simulation software such as Lumerical, COMSOL, or SCAPS.
- Strong publication record in reputable scientific journals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment.
- Prior postdoctoral experience is advantageous but not essential.
