We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Engineer to join our team in Sulawesi Selatan. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our mining operations adhere to strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, minimizing risk, and fostering a culture of safety-first excellence.
As a Safety Engineer, you will work on-site, providing technical expertise and guidance to operational teams to ensure full compliance with Indonesian mining regulations and international safety standards. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive HSE management systems tailored for nickel mining environments.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent the recurrence of workplace accidents.
- Facilitate safety training programs and toolbox talks to enhance the safety competency of all site personnel.
- Manage emergency response planning and ensure readiness for all mining-related hazards.
- Provide technical guidance to management regarding safety compliance with Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety best practices into daily production workflows.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety (K3), or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HSE roles within the mining or heavy industry sector (Nickel experience is highly preferred).
- Possess a valid K3 Pertambangan certification (Pengawas Operasional Pertama/POP preferred).
- Strong understanding of Indonesian mining regulations and SMK3/ISO 45001 standards.
- Proven ability to perform risk assessments (HIRADC) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing behavior across all levels of the organization.
- Willing to be based in Sulawesi Selatan with a roster schedule.
