Datian Subic Shoes Inc. is looking for a proactive and safety-oriented individual to join our team as a Safety Officer. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our workplace health and safety initiatives, ensuring that our manufacturing processes comply with local regulations and international safety standards. You will play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety, preventing accidents, and protecting our most valuable asset: our employees.
The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for potential hazards, a firm grasp of OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) guidelines, and the interpersonal skills to train and guide staff across various departments. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety (OHS) programs to ensure compliance with DOLE and local regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential risks in the manufacturing facility.
- Facilitate safety orientations, drills, and training sessions for all employees and contractors.
- Maintain comprehensive safety documentation, incident reports, and compliance records.
- Lead investigation efforts for workplace accidents and near-miss incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Manage the distribution and inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure all staff are properly protected.
- Coordinate with management and government agencies regarding safety audits and permit renewals.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Must have completed the DOLE-accredited Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a safety role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and safety standards (OSH Standards).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey safety policies effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes.
