The Opportunity
We are searching for a proactive and skilled Sales Assistant & Mandarin Translator (Penterjemah / 中文翻译销售助理). This is not just a translation job; it is a strategic sales role that requires you to leverage your language skills to drive business development, foster client relationships, and help manage our growing sales force. You will work directly with top management, providing real-time interpretation, translating critical documents, and executing sales strategies.

Your Role
Your primary mission will be to ensure seamless communication and drive sales efficiency. This includes translating high-level business discussions, supporting Mandarin-speaking clients, coordinating with the local sales team, and managing the sales pipeline.
Who You Are
You are a fluent Mandarin and Indonesian speaker with a valid driving license. You have a proven background in sales support, translation, or team coordination. You are organized, results-driven, and comfortable working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
Tanggung Jawab
- Act as the primary interpreter (Mandarin ↔ Indonesian) for management meetings, client negotiations, and internal training sessions.
- Translate business proposals, contracts, product descriptions, and marketing campaigns to ensure cultural and linguistic accuracy.
- Manage the sales support cycle for Mandarin-speaking clients, including order processing, inventory coordination, and post-sales service.
- Assist in mentoring and coordinating the local sales team, translating leadership directives and ensuring team targets are achieved.
- Conduct market visits and client assessments in and around Surabaya, utilizing your driving capabilities to expand business reach.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Logistics teams to align promotional activities and ensure smooth product distribution.
- Maintain detailed bilingual records of sales activities, client interactions, and translation projects in the company CRM.
- Identify new business opportunities and support the business development team in Mandarin-speaking markets.
Kualifikasi
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written, HSK 4 minimum) and Bahasa Indonesia (Native). English is a plus.
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in translation, sales support, or administrative roles. Retail or tech experience preferred.
- Proven ability to manage or coordinate a team, especially in a sales context, is highly desirable.
- Must hold a valid Indonesian driving license (SIM A or B1) and be willing to travel frequently within Surabaya and East Java.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with CRM software is an advantage.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any field. Marketing, Business, Chinese Language, or Communications majors preferred.
