Tanggung Jawab
- Design, optimize, and validate molecular diagnostic assays including qPCR, NGS, and isothermal amplification platforms.
- Lead end-to-end R&D projects from proof-of-concept through to technical transfer and clinical validation.
- Analyze complex genomic data sets to drive assay sensitivity, specificity, and robustness improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and clinical teams to integrate assays into diagnostic hardware and automated platforms.
- Draft and maintain high-quality technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory filing documentation.
- Mentor junior researchers and technicians in best practices for molecular laboratory safety and data integrity.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in the molecular diagnostics landscape to maintain A*STAR's competitive edge.
Kualifikasi
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in molecular diagnostic assay development.
- Proven expertise in nucleic acid extraction, PCR/qPCR design, and primer optimization.
- Solid understanding of ISO 13485 or similar quality management systems in a clinical or diagnostics setting.
- Demonstrated experience in NGS library preparation and bioinformatics data interpretation is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to both scientific and commercial stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple project timelines in a high-pressure environment.
