Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Chief Mate in voyage planning and safe navigation using ECDIS and traditional methods
- Conduct regular bridge watchkeeping operations maintaining vessel position and course
- Monitor cargo operations during loading/unloading of cement and bulk materials
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols during deck operations and cargo handling
- Prepare and maintain navigational charts, publications, and passage plans
- Coordinate with port authorities and vessel traffic services for smooth port operations
- Train and mentor junior deck officers on seamanship and safety procedures
Kualifikasi
- Valid Second Mate (Deck Officer) Certificate of Competency (STCW compliant)
- Minimum 2 years experience as Deck Officer on cargo vessels
- Familiarity with cement carrier operations and bulk cargo handling procedures
- Proficiency in ECDIS, radar, and other modern navigational equipment
- Strong understanding of international maritime regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in multicultural teams
- Physical fitness for deck operations in all weather conditions
